About Us

In 2009, a contingency of 14 parents from Korat visited Adventist International Mission School (AIMS) in Muaklek, Saraburi. The purpose of the visit was to examine the school, its mission, and goals. Subsequent to the visit 4 families enrolled their children in AIMS-Muaklek. However, the distance from Korat to Muaklek (103 km) prevented other families from enrolling their children in AIMS Muaklek. Parents from Korat eventually requested the Southeast Asia Union Mission Board of Directors to open an Adventist International Mission School in Nakhonratchasima (Korat) in which the request was approved. 1157 Mitrapap road, Nai Mueang, Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima. Sixteen students were enrolled in its first year of operation in a rented used kindergarten school which was renovated to make the school’s operation possible.

In 2015, AIMS-Korat was owned and managed by Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM). A proposal of a building project was sent to Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM), and in May 2016, TAM was able to purchase a 9 rai piece of property which is about 4 kilometers away from the rented school, located at 862 Moo 2 Nonmaydang Soi 13, Suranari, Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima. The groundbreaking ceremony for the building construction in the new property was held on November 1, 2018. The school was moved to the new campus after the dedication ceremony on August 8, 2019.

The school’s international license for Grades 1 3 was in 2009, grades K1 3 in 2010, grades 4 6 in 2011, grades 7 9 in 2015, and grades 10 12 in 2018. In 2017, the school was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and awarded Adventist International Mission School (AIMS) a 6 year term of accreditation.

On January 18, 2021, the school board approved to change the name from Adventist International Mission School Korat (AIMS-Korat) to Korat Adventist International School (KAIS). The new name, Korat Adventist International School, was officially registered on September 27, 2021.
